An 'at home visit' from a Goldcrest

Anne D-N, quite literally, had a home visit from a Goldcrest today.

She found it perched on a curtain rail in their living room after leaving windows open. It had been seen earlier collecting moss from an old apple tree, and it must have taken a wrong turn.  It was quite happy to fly to Anne's finger, and actually sat on her head while she walked it back outside! Quite an experience!

A tiny Goldcrest, happily perched on Anne's finger
