A walk around Granta Park

David F took a walk around Granta Park last Sunday (12th May), and noted a number of flowers, as well as a number of interesting birds.

Common Storksbill - a profusion on open ground near the main entrance

Milk Vetch - near the Granta Park cricket pitch

Germander Speedwell near the footbridge

A female Mallard and her ducklings on the river in Sluice Wood

A Great Crested Grebe - which returned to the lake for the first time this year on 10th May

The Carp in the lake enjoying the sun
