21st July 2024 - at this time of year, a number of damselfly can be found near water, and the Banded Demoiselle particularly likes being near flowing water, as here along the River Granta on Granta Park. The males are readily identified, with their iridescent blue head and abdomen, and dark band on the wings. Andy M.
