23rd July 2023 - Len M noted good numbers of butterflies whilst walking along the Roman Road, counting more than ten of each of Red Admiral, Peacock, Small White, Small/Essex Skipper and Gatekeeper, as well as smaller numbers of Ringlet, Marbled White, Speckled Wood, Brimstone, Comma, Meadow Brown and Common Blue, and unusually a Silver-washed Fritillary.
