11th June 2022 - whilst out along the Old Railway Cutting, Andy M spotted a few Swift, flying quite low down and thought he'd try his luck photographing them.
It turns out, Swift are well-named when trying to photograph them, but he got a few photos. Back home, whilst looking through the photos, he saw that in some shots he had inadvertently also captured the insects the birds were swerving around to catch!
Swift - with the normal scythe-like wing shape
Swift - changing direction rapidly, eyeing up a small snack
Swift - back in 'cruise-mode'
