5th April 2022 - at the edge of her old veg patch, Emma J discovered a somewhat 'untidy nest' containing seven white eggs, on the ground amongst some dead grass. Seeming quite a 'cavalier' location for a nest, Emma wondered what species might have laid them. Whilst both Pheasant and Reg-legged Partridge nest on the ground, and have large clutches of pale eggs, it's hard to be certain which species this nest belongs to.
