Large Skipper butterfly

Derek and Sally T have been noticing a Large Skipper butterfly in their garden over the last few days.  It has the distinctive 'chequer-board' patterning on the wings and, as here, the male has the bold dark line or 'sex-brand' in the middle of the forewing.
