Storm aftermath in Sluice Wood

After the recent heavy rain and stormy weather, the high river levels were starting to drop, leaving behind muddy banks and piles of trapped flotsam at the old sluice, and the winds had taken their toll on an old hollow tree, felled and splitting the timber.
In the sun, after the storm, the first few Celandine were starting to appear in Sluice Wood.  Andy M also spotted a Ladybird apparently sheltering from the worst of the weather deep down in a Dog's Mercury plant.
